The man can do no wrong!
Alexander Wang never fails to impress. His latest Ready to Wear collection is nothing short of amazing. The colour palate blends seamlessly from neutral tones of beige and grey, to finish with a number of androgynous black looks.
Wang finds a new way to express structured shoulders and asymmetry, whilst playfully adapting the cutout trend, adding his own signature style. Sheer fabrics, along with leather lay the basis of many pieces. Leotards and leggings create a sport chic look, whilst spurts of red coloured stripes are included for a fresh Spring look.

Resort report
Only in recent years have resort collections started to gain more and more attention. These collections were typically catering to the extremely wealthy who spent their holidays relaxing in the likes of the French Riviera. Resort wear provides a sort of bridge between Fall and Spring for designers; they are typically less expensive and more wearable than many other runway collections. Increasing popularity of resort wear comes as the economy remains in a state of instability.
I have been a fan of Philip Lim and his label 3.1 Philip Lim for a long time, and his resort creations have not failed to impress me. The blending of everything from lace and denim, to metallics and florals seems so effortless, yet so chic. Draping of the fabrics, the inclusion of a subtle metallic gold, as well as the asymmetry of some of the garments is divine.
Sorry about overloading the post with photos, I just couldn't decide which ones I liked best.

Olivier Theyskens for Acne
I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw Acne's latest collection; the shoes are incredible. After creating great heights for Nina Ricci's fall collection, Olivier Theyskens has again created towering heels. Wedges dominate Acne's Fall/Winter 09 collection; a label that is renowned for already being unbelievable and often over the top.
Theyskens creations have been questioned for wearability through these tough economic times. Are these shoes what fashionistas of a recession truly need? Probably not, but I have to admit, I like them!
Sky high
Over the past few years, the fashion industry has seen some amazing and innovative advances in the creation of shoes. One of my personal favourites, although slightly nostalgic, is the reinvigorated platform heel. These shoes are taken from Spring/Summer 09 collections and are sure to turn heads!

Satirical fashion
As I sit here in my dazed and confused state of tiredness, I can't help but love this image. Only the best of people can sit back and mock themselves. Oh, how I admire this man.
